Help at Hand Support Services 'HAHS' is a specialist disability support provider that is passionate about helping empower our participants to live their best life. We provide support services to NDIS participants.

Ref: HR Admin Officer - Bundoora

The HR Admin Officer role will provide excellent HR administration support, working collaboratively as part of a small HR Team within a dynamic, fast paced environment, to deliver quality HR services to HAHS staff, candidates and other external and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
* Assist with general HR administrative tasks including maintaining employee records, preparing contracts, and managing HR documentation.
* Post job ads, track applications, and assist with the recruitment process using ATS systems such as JobAdder.
* Complete screening interview questions with candidates and book second round interviews.
* Assist with second round interviews, where required.
* Manage incoming HR enquiries via phone and email. Make outbound phone calls where necessary.
* Collect, save and follow up on all required employment documentation and ID.
* Upload advertising print and online, and in our in‐house database.
* Keep candidates informed throughout the process.
* Send out onboarding information to new starters.
* Follow up new starter paperwork and induction information.
* Prepare and send out staff ID cards.
* Add staff to and maintain our online training database.
* Maintain employee personnel files, assist with file audits, HR registers & databases.
* Assist to manage the expiry process for all pre‐employment checks.
* Assist to ensure exit checklists/notifications to other departments/exit surveys are actioned, and personnel records updated.
* Assist as required with in‐person training request administration including bookings and recording.
* Conduct reference checks on candidates.
* Follow up signed contracts and various HR letters for our records.
* Efficiently use JobAdder or similar ATS platforms to manage candidate pipelines, screen applicants, and ensure timely communication with candidates.
* Support the broader HAHS office team where required.
* Other duties as required.
About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, attention to detail and a conscientious work ethic. You will also possess:

* Initiative to seek out solutions to problems.
* Able to work autonomously and self‐driven.
* Take ownership of work.
* Exceptional customer service skills coupled with patience and commitment.
* Possess a high level of computer literacy with experience using information management systems.
* Demonstrated experience working in human resources / administration support.
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
* Police Check and Working with children.
Desirable
* Relevant HR tertiary qualifications.
* Demonstrated understanding of HR principles.
* Knowledge and understanding of compliance with regards to legislation and HR practices and policies.
