What your day could look like
As a Transport Driver, you'll connect people with timely care across the Darling Downs. From safe, on-time transfers to kind, culturally aware support, you'll work closely with clinical and liaison teams to deliver patient-centred transport across the region.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering reliable, door-to-door transport that supports timely treatment and positive patient experiences.
Coordinating bookings and accurate trip records to keep services running smoothly.
Building rapport with patients and families, communicating clearly and respectfully at every step.
Caring for vehicles and equipment, following safety standards and infection-prevention practices.
Let's Talk About You
You bring both capability and care. You stay calm when plans change, present professionally, and treat every person with dignity. You understand the importance of cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all communities, and you take pride in service that goes the extra mile.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Current C class driver licence and a safe driving record.
Able to complete manual handling and wear P2/N95 PPE when required.
Eligibility for a paid Blue Card and other employment screening.
Strong customer service, teamwork and clear communication.
You'll stand out if you have experience in regional health or working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and/or familiarity with transport scheduling or booking systems. Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every journey.
Your driving turns distance into access, helping our community reach care when it matters most.
