We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Leading Hand to take the next step in their career and lead a small project team. This role is based out of our conveniently located Ormeau depot and offers an attractive hourly rate inclusive of EA conditions and EQ uplifts.
The role
In this hands on leadership position, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and delivering electrical and civil works across a range of projects. Your day to day will include:
* Leading and supervising a small project team on site
* Planning, supervising and undertaking civil and electrical construction and maintenance works
* Providing high level technical support and guidance to the team
* Implementing project and company Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
* Reading and interpreting project specifications, drawings and standards
* Proactively solving problems and driving efficient outcomes
* Installation and maintenance of:
* Traffic signals
* Rate 2 and Rate 3 road lighting
* Intelligent Transport Systems infrastructure
Essential qualifications and licences
* Construction Industry Induction Card (White or Blue Card)
* Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence
* ACMA Cabling Licence
* Current EQ knowledge and training
* Open car licence
* Elevated Work Platform licence
* Work Safely at Heights training
Desirable
* Dogman ticket
* MR truck licence
About you
You will ideally have 2 to 3 years experience in a similar Leading Hand role, with strong leadership skills, a practical mindset and a commitment to safety and quality. You enjoy leading from the front and take pride in delivering high quality work.
