The Opportunity
The Thompson Institute is a leading research facility dedicated to advancing understanding of brain and mental health through innovative translational imaging. Equipped with state‐of‐the‐art imaging technology, the Institute brings together researchers, clinicians and participants to support high‐impact research that informs prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.
We are seeking a motivated Radiographer to join the team on a casual basis. In this role, you will perform high‐quality imaging procedures, ensuring safe and effective operation of imaging equipment while delivering a professional and patient‐centred experience. You will work collaboratively with research and clinical teams to support imaging activities and contribute to the successful delivery of research outcomes.
You will
* perform high‐quality imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards;
* prepare and support participants throughout imaging procedures, ensuring a safe, respectful and patient‐focused experience; and
* collaborate with research and clinical teams to support imaging requirements and maintain accurate records and data integrity.
About you
You are a skilled and adaptable Radiographer with a strong commitment to patient care and imaging excellence. You bring a high level of attention to detail, sound technical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. You have excellent communication skills and a professional approach, building trust with participants and colleagues while ensuring safety and quality in all aspects of your work.
You will possess
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Medical Imaging and eligibility for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (AHPRA);
* Demonstrated experience in MRI and/or diagnostic imaging (experience in a research environment will be highly regarded);
* Strong understanding of imaging protocols, safety standards and patient care;
* Ability to work flexibly and independently in a casual capacity; and
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
