Job Description
We are looking for a part‐time Commis Chef at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. If you have a can‐do attitude, thrive in a fast‐paced high‐volume kitchen, and love working with a dedicated team, we want you to join us.
Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and production for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, banqueting and buffet service.
* Maintain clean, hygienic, and organised work environments, ensuring HACCP standards are met.
* Perform tasks in a timely manner to ensure high guest satisfaction.
* Support stock rotation and control processes to reduce waste and maintain hygiene.
* Create consistently great food production in line with high quality standards.
* Liaise with kitchen teams on special requests or delayed meals/production.
Qualifications
* A can‐do attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Strong desire to achieve high results, driven by success.
* Creative minded with passion and desire to learn.
* Previous experience in a fast‐paced kitchen or banqueting environment.
* Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
* Understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
* Food Safety Certificate is essential.
* Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.
