Baker – Full Time Location: Gungahlin, ACT Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per annum superannuation Employment Type: Full-Time About the Business Bakers Delight Gungahlin is looking for a motivated and reliable Baker to join our team. We are committed to delivering high-quality bread and baked goods fresh each day, while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail bakery environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, mix, knead, mould, proof, bake, and finish a variety of breads and bakery products in line with recipes and production schedules. Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and other tools in a safe and efficient manner. Monitor dough development, baking times, and oven temperatures to ensure consistency and product quality. Maintain high standards of presentation and freshness for all bakery items. Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Assist with stock control, ingredient rotation, and ordering to support daily production requirements. Work effectively as part of a team in a busy bakery environment. Support customer service needs when required and contribute to the smooth operation of the bakery. Requirements Relevant qualification in Baking or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience in bread production and bakery operations in a commercial environment. Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, and baking processes. Ability to work early morning, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required. Good understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
