About the Role
This is NOT a typical IT Helpdesk role. If your background is resetting passwords, imaging laptops, or general desktop support, this role likely isn't for you. This role supports a transport and fleet management software platform, not end-user devices. I'm looking for someone who understands transport operations, fleet maintenance, workshops, or NHVR compliance and enjoys solving operational problems using software.
This position provides customer and technical support for a specialised SaaS platform used to manage fleet maintenance, servicing, compliance (NHVR), and asset management.
You will support customers via phone and Zendesk, troubleshoot system and data issues, assist with onboarding and data imports, and work closely with the development team to investigate bugs and system issues.
This is application support with operational context, not general IT support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide customer and technical support via phone, Zendesk, and Teams
* Troubleshoot software, configuration, data, and workflow issues
* Investigate and document bugs for developers
* Assist with customer onboarding and data imports (Excel)
* Maintain and improve knowledge base documentation
* Work closely with Support, Development, and Sales teams
* Contribute to product and process improvements
Skills & Experience
Highly regarded:
* Transport, fleet, workshop, dealership, or NHVR compliance experience
* SaaS or application support experience
* Zendesk or helpdesk/ticketing systems
* Strong Excel skills (data formatting, imports, manipulation)
* Understanding of APIs, webhooks, or system integrations
Personal attributes
* Logical problem solver who looks for root causes
* Strong communication skills
* Process-driven, reliable, and organised
* Able to work independently and manage priorities
* Team-focused and collaborative
