A dynamic and skilled Deckhand is required to join our maritime team in a full-time capacity.
About the Role
This position involves assisting the Master and Engineer to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations, maintaining client comfort and satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for working outside normal hours and flexible shift times, adhering to essential knowledge of vessel aspects.
The role requires effective delegation, flexibility, reliability, and a 'safety first' approach, with a focus on job completion on time, accurately, and consistently.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist Master in safe navigation in adverse conditions
* Bridge Management and lookout duties as prescribed by Master
* Vessel emergency and evacuation procedures
* Safety drills and legislative requirements
* Manage deck activities during departure and mooring
* Safe embarkation/disembarkation of personnel and clients
* Maintenance of decks and exterior of vessel
* Cleaning of entire vessel before, during, and at the end of each shift
