The Role
The Payroll Coordinator is to provide a high standard of support to enable the successful and smooth payroll processing across HammondCare and Health & Hospitals. The Payroll Coordinator assists in the process and maintenance of accurate and up to date payroll records and contributes to ensuring HammondCare meets legislative requirements and complies with relevant Award and Agreement requirements.
This is a permanent position, based at St Leonards in Sydney with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the timely compilation and distribution of pay for staff on a fortnightly basis
* May provide support with Kronos or UKG (Time & Attendance) systems
* Supporting managers and team members around Workday queries related to pay
* Responding to all payroll enquiries in an appropriate and timely manner
* Providing ad hoc reports requested by manager
* Keeping up to date with legislative changes with respect to the payment and taxation of wages/salaries
* Ensuring HammondCare is meeting legislative requirements through the deduction and remittance of PAYG tax, Superannuation Guarantee and salary sacrifice contributions, and other payroll deductions required as per legislation, staff contracts and requests
* Maintaining payroll compliance with relevant Award and Agreement determinations
* Checking new employee records in a timely and accurate manner
* Ensuring employee leave balances reflect up-to-date balances
* Assisting with overpayment recovery action and documentation
* Working cooperatively with other team members in delivering a professional service to our employees
About You
* Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
* At least 2 year's demonstrated experience working in a fast paced environment in a Payroll Coordinator role processing pays for over 1,000 employees
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
* Experience working with iChris is essential
* Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
* Intermediate MS Office Word & Excel
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with Workday preferred, not essential
