We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. This role requires a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or a Certificate III (or higher) qualification. A work visa can be provided for the right candidate, and an immediate start is available.
Expected salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per year
Work schedule:
* Monday – Friday (Morning shifts)
Languages:
* A second language, preferably Spanish, is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Marking out, shaping, forming, and joining sheet metal and other materials to produce products and components.
* Selecting appropriate metals such as mild steel, copper, and aluminium, ensuring all dimensions meet required specifications.
* Interpreting drawings and technical specifications to determine job requirements and equipment.
* Using presses, rollers, and hammers to shape cut metal pieces into finished products.
* Cutting sheet metal along marked guidelines with guillotines and drills.
* Repairing damaged sheet metal products.
Skills & Requirements
* Qualification: Certificate III or higher in a relevant trade, or at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
* Technical skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings on electronic devices using applications such as Bluebeam and other relevant software.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with Trimble machines is desirable.
* Language skills: Spanish as a second language is an advantage.
