Position Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner to take the next step and expand their skills by moving into a clinical leadership role as the practice's Lead GP.
As well as maintaining your own patient load you will:
* Provide clinical guidance and leadership to our doctors.
* Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise our registrars, interns and medical students.
* Drive our accreditation and our practice and quality improvement processes.
* Recruit and orientate new clinical staff.
* Build strong relationships with external providers.
* As the Lead GP, you will provide strong clinical governance to ensure a high standard of medical care is maintained.
* Provide mentoring education and support to the medical workforce.
* Provide much needed appointments to the community by stepping in to a busy and fully booked GP clinic.
Qualifications & Experience
Requirements for the role include:
* Fellowship with either RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent)
* Current AHPRA Registration
* A minimum of five (5) years' experience in general practice
* Experience leading a clinical team is highly desirable
* Accreditation as a GP Registrar Supervisor (ACRRM and RACGP)
* Ability to work in Australia. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.
