Established to provide high-quality produce to government institutions, private hospital groups, and large-scale commercial and retail clients. MD Fresh Produce Darwin Pty Ltd has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, certified and high quality fresh and processed products.
We need a Retail Manager to look after the retail section (supermarket) of the company. Retail Managers organise and control the operations of retail establishment, encompassing the following main tasks: 1. Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure efficient and smooth business performance.
2. Monitor inventory levels and maintain effective stock control systems to prevent shortages and overstocking. 3. Establish, implement, and maintain high customer service standards to improve customer satisfaction and retention. 4. Prepare staff rosters and oversee employee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during operating hours.
5. Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain productivity and high workplace performance standards. 6. Develop and implement promotional and marketing activities to increase sales and customer engagement. 7. Review and adjust product pricing and mixed products marketing strategies to remain competitive within the market.
8. Maintain accurate financial records, sales reports, and inventory documentation in accordance with company procedures. 9. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, policies, and operational procedures. 10. Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and offer recommendations based on customer needs.
11. Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring store expenditure to support financial targets and profitability. 12. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices. 13. Monitor product performance and sales trends to optimise stock selection and inventory turnover.
14. Resolve customer complaints and service issues professionally to maintain positive customer relationships. 15. Implement and promote environmentally sustainable practices within daily store operations. 16. Analyse sales performance and prepare operational reports for management review and decision-making.
17. Drive sales growth initiatives and customer loyalty programs to strengthen repeat business and overall store performance. Key Skills

Education & Qualifications: The appropriate candidates must possess at least Advanced Diploma or Diploma level qualifications in Business/Accounting or three years of full time work experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time relevant work experience Remuneration: The full-time position offers an annual salary of $81,000 plus superannuation Employment Conditions: Employment entitlements will align with the National Employment Standards and relevant Fair Work instruments, as stipulated by the Australian Government.
