Support Advocate Role
The Support Advocate plays a pivotal role in assisting individuals affected by domestic and family violence.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing information, support, and advocacy to individuals experiencing domestic and family violence.
* Liaising with Police Domestic Violence Liaison Officers (DVLOs) to ensure a coordinated response for victim-survivors.
* Supporting individuals while they give statements to Police, where appropriate and permitted.
* Participating in local training and information sessions with Police to enhance collaboration and understanding.
* Assisting with the evaluation of the Co-location Pilot program.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
