About the Role
Work as a Tyre Fitter at Thiess' Lake Vermont Coal Project in Dysart, QLD, reporting to the Tyre Supervisor. This full-time role follows a 7/7 rotating roster with 12.5-hour shifts.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Removing, fitting, and repairing tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment
2. Conducting regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures, and reporting to the supervisor
3. Sourcing technical information from manuals, bulletins, and computer systems
4. Taking proactive measures to prevent equipment non-conformance and addressing quality issues
5. Adhering to site procedures and providing solutions through designated channels
About You
- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology AUR21920 or AUR21916
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Tyre Fitter
- Experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industry
- HR driver's license (preferred)
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to perform intensive manual labour outside
