Job Title: Payroll Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled payroll professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll runs, conducting balancing and reconciliation of outputs, and preparing reports and correspondence as requested.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Perform end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll runs using the Chris21 payroll system.
* Conduct the balancing and reconciliation of fortnightly payroll outputs, generating finalised documentation for Finance.
* Prepare reports and correspondence as requested by stakeholders, undertaking other administrative tasks related to day-to-day and cyclical personnel/payroll functions.
* Review employees' entitlements (e.g., leave credits, allowances, and accruals) ensuring accuracy within the payroll system through a systematic audit process.
* Assist in the End-of-Month process by generating relevant reports and making appropriate payments to Superfunds.
* Attend to personnel and payroll inquiries in a timely manner as necessary.
* Maintain knowledge and understanding of contemporary best payroll practices, changes to employment legislation, and market updates by attending seminars, reviewing publications, and conducting personal research.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in payroll, preferably in a medium to large sized organisation.
* Experience with Enterprise Agreements, including interpretation and correct payroll processing in accordance with these agreements.
* Experience with Chris21 payroll system preferred.
