**Let's talk about the role and responsibilities**
**This role is responsible for managing the tax functions of Capgemini Australia and NZ operations, including providing advice on tax planning opportunities, identifying tax risks and mitigation strategies, ensuring tax compliance, as well as managing internal tax reporting requirement**
**Tax Compliance**
- **Technical review of corporate income tax return for Australia and NZ, ensuring major tax issues have been considered and appropriate actions are taken to support the adopted tax position.**:
- **Reviewing and approving all other tax filings. This includes GST, FBT, withholding tax, payroll tax etc.**:
- **Review of international related party transactions, ensuring tax position are supported from transfer pricing perspectives/ OECD guidelines etc.**:
- **Liaising and responding to queries from Australian Taxation Office (ATO), NZ Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and other regulatory bodies when required.**
**Tax Leadership**
- **Identifying tax planning opportunities for our businesses.**:
- **Monitoring new tax developments, analyse its impact to the company and advise the business accordingly.**:
- **Providing tax support for major transactions such as merger and acquisition.**:
- **International tax planning and tax risks management, working closely with Group Tax to ensure the business adhere to the Group Tax Policy and transfer pricing policy etc.**
**Internal Reporting**
- **Collaborate with APAC finance team for group finance reporting (quarterly report, ETR etc)**:
- **Collaborate with APAC tax lead for tax information required by head office (e.g. CbCR reporting, forecast tax payment, potential tax audit exposures, local TP requirement etc).**:
- **Working closely with AU Finance team for monthly review of tax related accounts and tax cash flow forecast.**:
- **Working closely with AU Finance team and auditor for annual statutory reporting, for matters relating to the company's tax position (DTA, tax provision, income tax expense etc).**
**Internal stakeholder relationship**
- **Build and maintain a good working relationship with various team members located in Australia, NZ and other countries in APAC.**:
- **Provide accurate and timely advice to Capgemini staff in response to queries.**:
- **Identify opportunities for process improvement and streamlining.**:
- **Ensure alignment to Capgemini requirements and legislation.**:
- **Demonstrate effective peer, direct report and team management skills.**
**About You**:
- **CPA / CA qualification.**:
- **Minimum of 15 years of tax experience.**:
- **Possess strong tax knowledge and comprehensive experiences in Income Tax, GST, FBT.**:
- **Have exceptionally strong analytical skills in interpreting/ analysing impact of ever-changing tax laws and its impact to business.**:
- **Experience in managing international tax issues, e.g. transfer pricing.**:
- **Experience in handling tax audit/ Combined Assurance Review.**:
- **Good finance and accounting knowledge, technical tax accounting experience.**:
- **Good communication skills and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.**:
- **Ability to adapt to rapid change in a fast paced, dynamic environment.**:
- **Prior experience working in multinational, fast paced and energetic environments.**:
- **Have previous leadership experience, where were able to drive results in a positive and inspiring way, coach and mentor team members.**:
- **Strong communicator and an ability to communicate across all levels of the business, and remote international teams.**:
- **Ability to time manage and problem solve effectively in a high-pressure environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines.**:
- **Focus on exceptional customer service ensuring all stakeholder needs are exceeded.**
