Our client a key player in the mining industry, offering commercial explosives, blasting systems, and speciality chemicals to enhance mining efficiency and safety. Their digital solutions optimise drill and blast processes, while their geotechnical monitoring ensures site stability. Our client operates in over 50 countries, focusing on innovation and sustainability to reduce environmental impact. They are currently looking for Shotfirers to join their team in the Blackwater region.
Your new role
- Performing shotfiring tasks, including managing magazines, loading, tying, and firing blasts according to drill and blast plans
- Supporting the training and mentoring of new team members
- Ensuring outstanding service for all customers
- Offering operational blasting expertise and guidance to client blast crews
Consistently demonstrating integrity and respect in all actions.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience operating as a full shotfirer
- Shotfiring licence required
- Driver’s licence – HR - highly desirable
- Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance
- Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 – or willing to obtain
- Ability to do a police check & D&A; screen
- Living locally in the Bowen Basin

- What you'll get in return
In this role, you will start ASAP on site in the Blackwater Region. You’ll work a 7/7 day-only roster with occasional nights, all shifts being 12-hours. Meals and accommodation will be provided, and superannuation is paid on all hours worked. This is a full time position with a competitive salary package, also offering relocation assistance up to $10k + 1 month rent & flights covered for immediate family.
