About the Opportunity
HD Physiotherapy/ Physiomedic is seeking passionate Sports Medics to join our field coverage team for the 2026 winter sports season. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on across a variety of elite and community sporting codes, supporting
athletes and teams throughout Sydney.
You’ll gain experience providing coverage and injury management across:
● Senior Premier AFL
● Rugby Union (private school and senior club competitions)
● Junior AFL, Rugby, and Football programs
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
● A 5–6 month commitment (March–September season)
● Weekend availability for coverage across Sydney suburbs
● First Aid & CPR certification
● Working With Children Check (WWCC)
● Driver’s license and vehicle (many grounds not accessible via public transport)
● Excellent communication and professionalism
● Passion for sport, athlete care, and injury prevention
● Strapping knowledge/experience highly favourable
● Bandaging and dressing basic wounds, managing high-pressure situations, identifying fractures, managing
sprains and strains, understanding of concussions, and knowledge of RA return-to-play rules.
