A high-profile Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Senior CIAM Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of a major Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) uplift within an Azure and AWS cloud environment. You will work across a large‑scale, mission‑critical program transforming customer identity services nationally. The successful Senior CIAM Engineer will be offered an initial contract until July with the view to extend for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation and optimisation of core CIAM capabilities, including customer registration, authentication, authorisation, and profile management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, compliant CIAM configurations and scalable technical solutions.
* Configure, enhance and manage CIAM platform features while ensuring alignment with regulatory, security, and organisational standards.
* Prioritise and deliver automations, integrations, and performance improvements to streamline identity flows and user interactions.
* Work independently on competing priorities, providing high‑level technical expertise across complex CIAM challenges.
Qualifications
* Strong experience designing, implementing, and optimising enterprise‑grade CIAM solutions.
* Expertise with CIAM platforms such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping, Akamai, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high‑performing technical culture.
* Commitment to public‑sector values and delivering secure, user‑centred identity services.
