What you'll do:
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of external audit engagements in accordance with regulatory and professional standards
Manage and mentor audit teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance throughout the audit lifecycle
Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business, risks, and audit requirements
Oversee the identification and assessment of financial and control risks and develop audit strategies to address them
Provide insightful advice on financial reporting matters and emerging regulatory changes to clients and internal teams
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in audit processes and encourage innovation within your teams
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve complex audit issues and deliver value-added solutions
What we're looking for:
Financial Expertise: At least 5 years' experience in external audit, preferably with exposure to CIPS or related sectors, and a recognised CA qualification
Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams, manage multiple audit engagements and priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes
Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and build trust with senior client stakeholders
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements relevant to CIPS
Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex financial and business issues, exercise professional judgement, and provide practical recommendations
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex audit findings clearly to diverse audiences
