Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is $97,993 - $139,187 per annum. The employment type is temporary full-time for a period of 26-May-2025 to 30-Nov-2025. The hours of work are 38 hours per week.

Job Description
This role involves providing comprehensive assessment and management of aged care patients in the Acute Geriatric Service, Geriatric Rehabilitation/GEM, subacute and surgical patients in perioperative care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive medical plans for all patients in the Acute Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service, including initial assessments, daily medical rounds, and weekly case conferences.
Additionally, the candidate will participate in six-monthly rotations through various departments, including Acute Geriatrics, Geriatric Rehabilitation/GEM/Consults, Perioperative Care – Orthogeriatrics/COPS, and Community – ACAT/VACS and clinics.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise, as well as advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent qualification, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
Candidates must also have completion of at least four postgraduate years and successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent.
Demonstrated commitment to training in Geriatric Medicine and sufficient clinical experience are also essential.
