About your role
Produce and deliver detailed drawings and customer facing visual communication within high-quality and understandable documentation – with the goal to improve the user experience of our products.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Delivering detailed drawings, technical illustrations, and image traces for product instructions and marketing deliverables.
- Technical writing and visual communication.
- Preparing high quality comprehensive design layout using illustrations, icons, photography, and computer-generated imagery.
- Collaborating with other teams including engineers, products team, marketing, and using design workshop.
- Ensuring that documentation is consistent, standardised, and simple to follow.
- Maintaining and improving existing information architecture.
- Applying design and user experience thinking to products from conception.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Project planning and experience delivering outcomes on time and in scope.
- Ability to translate data into easily understandable illustrations for customers.
- Critical thinker and technical aptitude.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in freehand illustrations, especially with vehicle illustrations and vehicle bodies.
- Comfortable using design workshop facilities and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Visual Communication.
- Previous industry experience in a product development or graphic design background (minimum 2 years’ experience).
- Evidence of producing high quality technical documentation related to product development.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (required), SolidWorks (preferred), SolidWorks Composer (will be used but prior knowledge of program not required).
