Lead AI and Data Transformation Initiatives
As a Director in our Perth-based AI & Data team, you will take a hands-on leadership role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making. Your primary responsibility will be to lead high-impact projects, drive business development, and foster innovation aligned with Deloitte's AI & Data strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shaping and driving strategy – Define and execute AI & data strategies that align with business goals, ensuring measurable impact for clients.
* Leading high-impact projects – Oversee large-scale AI, analytics, and data transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
* Building client relationships – Act as a trusted advisor, engaging with C-suite and senior stakeholders to uncover opportunities and solve complex business challenges.
* Managing commercial success – Own project profitability, ensuring engagements meet commercial targets while delivering high-value solutions.
* Developing high-performing teams – Mentor and coach a diverse team of data engineers, scientists, and consultants, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
* Driving innovation and modernization – Spearhead the adoption of next-generation cloud, AI, and data platforms, ensuring organizations stay ahead of industry trends.
* Enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing – Work closely with Deloitte's global network and strategic partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, Databricks) to bring world-class AI & Data solutions to clients.

Requirements:
* Proven track record (typically 10+ years) of leading high-performing AI & Data teams delivering enterprise-scale analytical solutions, and driving digital transformation initiatives.
* Proven experience managing large-scale data and analytics projects in both public and private sectors.
* Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and advanced SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
* Experience with leading data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native AI / ML tools.
* Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and translating complex insights into business strategies.
* Project management experience using Agile methodologies.
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.
