About the Position
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated asset professional to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Asset Coordinator - Civil and Municipal Infrastructure.
- Develop and manage asset management systems, programs and long-term plans for civil and municipal infrastructure (roads, drainage, footpaths, carparks, public open spaces, and more).
- Coordinate maintenance and capital works programs, contribute to budget planning, and oversee contractors and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Use asset management systems and databases; develop and implement long-term maintenance and capital works programs.
- Communicate effectively and solve problems; manage time; work independently and in a team.
- Experience managing contractors, preparing technical specifications, and contributing to project planning and budgets.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience in asset management and infrastructure planning
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling software
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and consultants
- White Card and a current unrestricted C class driver’s licence
- Desirable: Formal qualifications in asset or project management
- Desirable: Familiarity with GIS systems, RAMM or NAMS Plus
- Desirable: Knowledge of the Broome region and prior local government experience

- $91.7k-$98k base salary per annum (depending on your experience)
- Location allowances: $11,414 Broome location allowance for Tenants or $18,616 for Owner-occupiers; employer matched superannuation
