About the Opportunity
This role oversees the safe and efficient operations of Western Sydney International's baggage handling systems. Responsibilities include planning and allocating resources, monitoring baggage flow, and liaising with airlines and contractors.
1. Liaise with airlines and contractors to coordinate daily and seasonal flight schedules within the baggage system.
2. Monitor assembly of baggage batches and allocation to designated loading resources.
3. Predict inbound volumes of baggage based on aircraft arrivals and schedule adjustments.
4. Coordinate staffing and resource allocations with the Baggage Service Provider (BSP).
5. Manage storage capacity and clearance of oversize baggage processes.
6. Determine manual encoding requirements and demand.
This position will require shift-based work and permanent hours once live operations commence.
