Diabetes Educator – Remote Outreach
Alice Springs, NT
8 July Start – 6 weeks
Locum rates based on experience

Job Summary:

Deliver expert diabetes education and care in remote NT communities. Travel weekly, build capacity, improve health outcomes.
About the role Based in Alice Springs, you'll travel to remote communities Monday to Friday, returning each week. You'll work closely with primary health teams to support diabetes and vascular disease management. This role requires a high level of clinical and educational expertise.

Skills and experience:

* Postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education
* Eligible for credentialing with ADEA
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA or eligible
* Manual driver's licence and comfortable with remote travel
* Current BLS, Ochre Card, SAFE NT Police Check, Vaccine Immunity

* Visit Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm, or the Desert Park
* Enjoy the local art galleries and vibrant Aboriginal culture
* Relax at local cafes or take in the views from Anzac Hill
* Try hot air ballooning or a camel ride through the outback

This role is offered in partnership with Primary and Public Health Care Central Australia (PPHC CAR), committed to delivering culturally responsive care across remote NT. Work within a multidisciplinary team passionate about improving chronic disease outcomes.
