Overview
Macquarie University is hiring an enthusiastic and proactive Project Officer to support the delivery of key educational initiatives. As a Project Officer, you will provide administrative support and coordination of programs and activities within the Macquarie Academy, allowing Macquarie teaching staff to deliver educational excellence and improve the student experience. The role entails the coordination, implementation and promotion of projects, programs and initiatives driven by the Macquarie Academy including effective administration, program and project coordination, and contribution to evaluation and reporting activities. This position reports to the Head of the Macquarie Academy.
Salary: From $99,161 to $109,457 (HEW Level 6), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading. Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde. Full-time role with a flexible hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive, practical and proactive program and project coordination and administrative support to programs, projects and initiatives, including effective communications with key stakeholders both internal and external.
* Coordinate workshops, seminars, training, forums, meetings and events; manage actions, follow-ups and project status reporting.
* Set priorities and monitor workflows and systems in support of the delivery of designated projects, activities and initiatives; plan, review and data collection and analysis; write and edit documents (including reports) and provide committee support.
* Maintain systems, processes, documentation and protocols essential to the efficient implementation of Academic Development programs, including program evaluation and reporting.
* Develop, foster and maintain effective working relationships with the Macquarie Academy team, faculties and central teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.
* Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.
* Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence.
* Demonstrated experience in project management and/or program administration and coordination with an understanding of academic and/or professional development programs, project life cycle including planning, logistics, promotions, communications, documentation and reporting.
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop presentations and project reports; ability to research and analyse material and summarise key issues.
* Strong service orientation and client focus, with high-level interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff at all levels and with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail; ability to respond to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, plus take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
* Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and databases; experience with digital platforms.
* Educational Programs knowledge and experience (highly desirable).
* Experience in developing reports and dashboards and using reporting tools to generate actionable insights (highly desirable).
