Permanent part-time role - 60 hours/fortnight

As a member of our team, you will play an important role in providing high-quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.
As the CSSD Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
Comply with AS5369:2023, GENCA standards
Operate, interpret, and document all machinery operational requirements
Report and document all quality activities
Ensure prioritization of instrumentation and processes

Peninsula Private is a 50-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 2 operating theatres and 1 procedure room, located on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Our specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine, along with leading rehabilitation services and programs on Brisbane's northside.
We are undergoing a redevelopment to expand the Perioperative Department to 4 theatres, 2 procedure rooms, and a new CSSD department, expected to open by end July 2025, with full capabilities doubling by December 2025.

Minimum requirements include:
Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation, Cert III qualification essential
Sound knowledge of AS5369:2023
Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and databases
An interest in promoting best practice patient care
