As Senior Operations Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the operational performance of a high-profile regional shopping centre servicing both the Northern Rivers and Southern Gold Coast catchments.
Overseeing a centre of significant scale and complexity, you will lead all hard and soft facilities services, ensuring the asset operates safely, efficiently and in line with best practice retail property standards.
This is a pivotal leadership position within the centre management team. You will work closely with the Centre Manager and asset leadership to drive operational excellence, enhance presentation, manage compliance and risk, and deliver capital works and strategic projects that support long term asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior leadership across all operational functions of the centre.
* Oversee facilities management including mechanical, electrical, fire and essential services.
* Lead contractor procurement, performance management and compliance.
* Drive workplace health, safety and environmental standards across the asset.
* Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
* Prepare and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets with strong financial oversight.
* Deliver capital works and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion.
* Support tenancy delivery and retailer coordination in partnership with leasing.
* Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability and asset performance.
* Act as a key escalation point for operational risk and compliance matters.
About you
You are an experienced Senior Operations, Facilities or Technical Services Manager with a strong background in shopping centres or large format commercial assets. You bring strategic capability as well as hands on leadership and are confident managing a complex, high traffic retail environment.

* Extensive experience in retail or commercial facilities and operations management.
* Strong technical knowledge across building services and compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience managing large scale OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple contractors and stakeholders.
* Highly developed risk management and safety leadership capability.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
