2x 12 Month contract positions are available within our client in their Operations Engineering team, based on-site with one of their Tier 1 Mining customers in Brisbane. These roles focus on system support for critical Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and associated consoles. Ideal candidates will have strong networking and system administration skills, enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, and thrive in customer-facing environments.
These positions are situated in a remote operations centre, meaning there are no roster working from home days. You'll work on-site at customer premises five days per week, ensuring the reliability of essential communications systems.
Role Overview
This position provides technical support for Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and console systems. You'll be responsible for fault-finding, triage, and system maintenance, ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical communications.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and maintain Motorola P25 radio systems and consoles
* Diagnose and resolve network and system-related faults
* Perform routine health checks and preventative maintenance
* Assist with configuration, upgrades, and optimisation of infrastructure
* Liaise with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues
* Maintain accurate documentation and service records
Skills & Experience
* Strong background in system administration and networking
* Hands-on experience with Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and consoles
* Understanding of IP networking, fault isolation, and triage processes
* Familiarity with radio communications infrastructure
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capability
* Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment
