An outstanding opportunity has arisen following internal promotion to join Council's Executive Leadership Team as General Manager, Community and Customer Services.
This is more than just a leadership role.
We are seeking an inspiring, forward thinking leader to take the reigns of a broad portfolio that includes Customer and Cultural Services, City Planning and Assessment, Environment and Regulation, and Communities.
It's your opportunity to:
* Lead a department of over 375 staff with an annual budget exceeding $55 million.
* Shape the strategic direction of services that touch every corner of our community—from the Redlands Coast mainland to our six beautiful islands.
* Deliver game-changing projects that enhance liveability, build resilience, and grow community pride.
* Partner with Councillors, state and federal stakeholders, traditional owners, and our passionate community groups to deliver bold outcomes.
* Influence the cultural fabric of the city through libraries, creative arts, and customer service experiences that are truly community-first.
You'll join a dynamic Executive Leadership Team and work directly with the Chief Executive Officer, with the opportunity to act in the CEO role as required. You'll champion excellence, safety, innovation, and sustainability and be a key driver of our Corporate Plan.
* What you bring:A proven record of executive leadership in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
* Deep experience in community service delivery, customer strategy, and digital transformation.
* Strategic vision, commercial acumen, and operational precision.
* Political savvy and a collaborative spirit with the ability to connect across sectors, cultures, and communities.
* A commitment to excellence, equity, and public value.
To be fully effective you will need to be able to rapidly develop an understanding of the legislative frameworks underpinning Local Government and commercial business units.
