The Opportunity
HorizonOne has a consistent flow of Campaign Officer/Manager roles available on both labour hire and non-ongoing contracts. These range from short-term (3 months) to long-term (12 months or more). High-performing candidates often receive repeated contract extensions or secure permanency within the APS. Due to the volume of positions, we are seeking expressions of interest from qualified candidates, as we have a large pool of active and registered applicants.
HorizonOne also supports permanent APS staff with temporary and permanent transfers between federal government agencies and departments.
The Role
The responsibilities vary per position, but as a Campaigns Officer, you will be expected to:
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate impactful communication campaigns
- Create and edit engaging content across web, social media, digital channels, media, PR, and marketing
- Manage procurement and oversee contracts with advertising, PR, and communication service providers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal, external, and cross-government stakeholders
- Handle multiple projects with excellent organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Work effectively in fast-paced environments, independently and as part of a team
The Ideal Person
To be considered for an APS5 – EL1 Campaigns Officer/Manager role, you should have 2-5 years of experience, preferably within the APS, and a qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing. You must be able to work in time-sensitive environments, build collaborative relationships, and be adaptable to changing priorities.
Australian citizenship and a minimum baseline security clearance are required.
Salary / Rate
- APS5 salary range: $80k – $89k + 15.4% Super
- APS6 salary range: $90k – $110k + 15.4% Super
- EL1 salary range: $120k – $129k + 15.4% Super
