This exciting opportunity is designed for individuals who want to start a career in aged care. As a trainee, you will work and study towards gaining your qualification in Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021).
* No experience or qualifications are required – just a willingness to learn and grow.
* You will be trained on the job and have the support of an established team, including previous trainees who have successfully completed their traineeship.
* After 12-15 months, you will be qualified to assist elderly residents in Residential Aged Care settings with their daily lifestyle and activities.
Your Benefits
* A guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities to work up to 35 hours.
* Be partnered with a workplace Buddy/Mentor who will guide and support you throughout your traineeship.
* The aim of these positions is to move to ongoing employment within our organization.
What We're Looking For
* An individual with a great attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and work.
* The ability to pass a National Police Check and hold valid working rights in Australia.
* Must reside in Australia and be a Permanent Resident or Citizen to access State Funding for the training.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing personal care services to elderly residents, including showering, dressing, grooming, bed making, room tidying up, feeding, and setting tables and meals.
* Social / Activities: engaging with residents and contributing to their social and emotional well-being.
* Ability to listen, build rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff members.
