As a specialist in mining operations, you will work across our underground facilities to provide expert advice and execute comprehensive analysis of end-to-end performance metrics. Your goal will be to identify and implement improvement initiatives that enhance excellence and support business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Compile detailed reports and provide expertise to other teams in the analysis of production performance indicators and metrics.
* Analyze equipment capability assumptions and conduct data analysis and interpretation to support reporting requirements and improvement initiatives.
* Prepare inputs for budget formation and provide forecast updates and budget analysis.
* Identify and deliver improvement opportunities using industry best practices.
* Assess and manage execution change and project risk.
* Develop safe operational practices including field leadership activities.
* Collaborate with contractors to ensure new ideas are developed and practically implemented.
About You
* Hold a degree qualification in Mining Engineering or a closely related tertiary qualification.
* Possess underground mining knowledge and experience is preferred.
* Be able to work independently and have experience meeting individual and team KPIs.
* Have strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with all levels of management.
* Thorough understanding of the mine development and production cycle is preferred.
* Experience in managing and implementing improvement initiatives highly regarded.
* Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work with data.
* Proficiency in Excel Power BI PowerPoint Webex Deswik and similar software is preferred.
