We need **a talented photographer** to join us as a volunteer and **capture all the unforgettable moments** at Motor Neurone Disease QLDs iconic **Walk to Defeat MND Cairns** on **Sunday 7th June** at **McKenzie Street Parkland, Cairns**!
This annual event brings together the community to **honour, remember, and support** those affected by Motor Neurone Disease. As a valued MND volunteer you will share your photography skills in a **fun and meaningful environment** and meet **incredible people** who share a passion for **making a difference.**
**About the role**
As a **Volunteer Photographer**, you will support MND Queensland by capturing high-quality photographs during the **Walk to Defeat MND** event. Your images will be used to celebrate our walkers, promote future events, and help raise awareness and funds for people living with MND.
**When:** Sunday 7th June
**What Time:** 7.30am to 12.30pm
**Where:** McKenzie Street Parkland, Cairns
**IMPORTANT EXTRA**: You will need to come prepared for a day in the sun wear comfortable, closed toed shoes, slip, slop, slap and bring a hat!
**You will be:**
* Photographing walkers, clients and key moments throughout the event
* Capturing candid and posed shots that reflect the atmosphere of the day
* Assisting with setting up simple shots as required
* Following direction from the Event Coordinator regarding priority moments
* Assisting with general event setup before the event and pack down afterwards
* Providing images post-event (basic editing support welcomed if possible)
**About you**
* Own your own camera equipment
* Have a good eye for detail and people-focused photography
* Confident using a camera to capture clear, visually engaging images
* Reliable, friendly and comfortable engaging with attendees
* Able to work independently while taking direction when needed
* Experience with event photography is desirable but not essential
By volunteering your time and talent, youll be contributing to an event that helps MND Queensland provide vital care and support services to people living with MND and their families. Youll also gain valuable event experience, expand your portfolio, and be part of a passionate and welcoming team.
**Please note:**
Our volunteer personal accident insurance requires volunteers to be **at least** **12 years old.** Children **aged 14 and under** must **attend with a parent.**
Insurance coverage is provided **up to age 75**. Volunteers aged over 75 may still participate but should be aware that insurance coverage is limited.
