We are currently offering a great opportunity for a driven Merchandise Manager to join our team in the rich agricultural Central Highlands Region of Emerald, QLD.
This critical role in the merchandise team requires you to build long-lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.
A typical day may include:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales and inventory of products such as ag chem, fertiliser, and other agricultural merchandise. You will collaborate with store management and sales teams, providing support through stock takes, retail improvements, on-farm meetings, technical advice, and mentoring. You will contribute to branch budgets and manage the P&L, negotiate with suppliers, develop pricing strategies, oversee stock levels, and implement marketing initiatives to maintain competitiveness.
What we look for in you:
Experience in pricing, margin management, and achieving sales targets through category development.
Strong networking skills and the ability to identify business development opportunities.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build long-term customer and stakeholder relationships.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
Forklift license is required; a heavy rigid license is highly advantageous.
