The Opportunity 
Our client BOC Gas and Gear, based in Wetherill Park, is a leading global gases and engineering company that supply gasses and equipment to many sectors including heavy industry and medical environments. 
BOC is looking for a 1st Year Fitter and Turner Apprentice to join them. 
While working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will develop the skills to provide maintenance service work and troubleshoot issues related to common plant equipment such as pumps and valves across a variety of plants to ensure plants operate reliably. 
A core element of the role will be to ensure gas cylinder pack maintenance is completed promptly and general site maintenance is completed when pack maintenance work is complete. 
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fitter and Turner and earn a MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.

About You 
We are ideally looking for a school leaver or someone looking to leave school who enjoys problem-solving, is mechanically minded, and really enjoys learning. 
A pre-apprenticeship or Cert 2 in Engineering would be highly regarded.

Solid attention to detail 
Good maths skills 
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol screen and Police Check
