Southern Grampians Shire Council is looking for a qualified Occasional Care Educator to join our team. We're seeking someone who shares our commitment to nurturing the community's youngest members, providing them with a safe, fun, and stimulating environment to learn and grow.

The Occasional Care Educator is responsible for delivering a high-quality, play-based occasional care program for children aged 0-5 years. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports the health, well-being, and developmental needs of each child. The educator will work collaboratively within a team to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring the service operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and Council policies.

We require the incumbent to have the following:

* Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA).
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* Willingness to submit a National Police Check upon appointment.
* Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR and Anaphylaxis training.
* Mandatory Reporting Training

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is desirable.

Minimum qualification required is a Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care that is recognised under the Children's Services Regulations 2020 Experience working with children and families within an education and care setting

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications as recognised under the Children's Services Regulations 2020
