In this role, you will support strategic sourcing, analyze cost drivers, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely flow of materials that keep our production operations running efficiently. * Plan, schedule, and execute the movement of direct materials (parts, components, finished goods).
* Manage relationships with assigned suppliers and drive performance improvements.
* Identify material requirements based on engineering specs and production schedules.
* Prepare and release RFQs, negotiate pricing, and execute contracts.
* Analyze cost factors to determine lowest total cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
* Review proposals, recommend suppliers, and maintain procurement records.
* Approve purchases within pricing thresholds; escalate higher pricing for approval.
* Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate material flow.
* Support cost‑reduction projects and contribute to procurement strategy.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related fiel(CPIM certification accepted in lieu of a degree)
* 3+ years of procurement experience
* Experience with SAP
* Strong understanding of machined parts, sheet metal, and structural assembly manufacturing
* Knowledge of aerospace or automotive industry preferred
* Strong supplier‑management capabilities
* Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
* Must meet Export Control (ITAR/EAR) requirements — U.S. Person status required
