Job Overview
This role coordinates, supports and supervises clinical coding staff to ensure targets and timeframes are met.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting and developing coding processes for accurate and timely completion of clinical coding activities.
* Coordinating workload distribution and statistics.
Key skills and qualifications include:
* Minimum 5 years of full-time equivalent clinical coding experience in a tertiary or secondary hospital.
* Completed Bachelor of Health Information Management or clinical coding diploma with HIMMA or equivalent.
* Ability to consult on Clinical Coding audit programs and liaise with external auditors/educators.
* Strong knowledge of health fund contract system and Casemix/Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG).
* Demonstrated understanding of anatomy, physiology, diseases and pathological processes.

Remuneration includes base hourly rate ranging from $57.56 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualifications.
