As a senior SEO specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for SEO for a small portfolio of clients, responsible for managing and executing their organic search campaigns. You will have the time and autonomy to work closely with these clients to deliver SEO programs that help meet their growth objectives and drive business outcomes.
This is a role for someone who has 5+ years in SEO and is looking for an opportunity to join a boutique agency where you can work on a small portfolio of clients with the time to understand their business and deliver SEO campaigns that drive real business outcomes.
You will work directly with our Marketing Director around strategy have direction over SEO campaign planning and execution for your clients, with the support of a SEO executive. This will involve setting meaningful objectives/KPI’s, planning out 3–6-month SEO sprint roadmaps, executing the work with the support of an SEO executive, as well as reporting on results and providing ongoing recommendations.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, an ability to link SEO efforts to real business outcomes and has proven experience driving organic growth for service based or B2B clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. SEO Campaign Planning : plan, present, execute and iterate on SEO programs for a variety of clients in service-based and B2B industries, focusing on on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
2. Team Mentoring/Training : Lead, mentor, and manage an SEO executive, providing guidance, training, and support to help them grow and succeed. The opportunity to build your own team as the agency grows is also there for the right person.
3. Client Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding their business objectives, and ensuring clear communication of SEO work and impact. Running bi-weekly WIP meetings, monthly reporting and planning discussions, and 6 month SEO sprint summary and planning sessions.
4. Campaign Reporting & Analytics : Analyze and report on SEO campaign performance (rankings for high intent non-brand keywords, conversions), providing actionable insights to clients.
5. Continuous Optimisation : Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and algorithm changes, ensuring that all campaigns are up to date with the latest best practices and developments in organic search. Continuously review client roadmaps and raise opportunities or iterations to capitalise on opportunities or address declining rankings.
6. Collaboration with Client Teams : Work closely with client content, web development, and paid media teams to align SEO campaigns with overall marketing goals.
7. Project Management : Oversee SEO project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and within deadlines. Keep clients updated on work being completed.
8. Client Presentations : Present SEO plans, performance reports, and optimisation plans to clients, explaining complex concepts in a clear and actionable way.
What We’re Looking for
1. 5+ years of experience in SEO, applicants with less experience considered if they have demonstrated success and a methodology to organic search that can be clearly and concisely explained.
2. Experience working with service-based or B2B businesses, ideally in a digital marketing or agency environment.
3. Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring junior SEO professionals.
4. Strong understanding of SEO tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and others.
5. Proficiency in technical SEO, including website audits, structured data, page speed optimisation, and mobile-first indexing.
6. Demonstrated success in driving organic search growth through a combination of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
7. Client-facing experience, with a track record of building relationships and managing client expectations.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to think strategically while staying organized and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
