Your Opportunity
We have an exciting temporary full-time position available to join our Marketing and Communications team at TAFE Queensland's Acacia Ridge Campus.
This opportunity is until 18 December 2026.
As the Marketing Officer you will support the delivery of marketing and communication activities that align with the TAFE Queensland SkillsTech Marketing and Communication Plan in a commercial business environment.

This role contributes to the promotion of TAFE Queensland through the coordination and support of multiple marketing events and projects, and by providing effective project management and marketing assistance to enable the successful delivery of short-term initiatives across the Marketing and Communications team.

This position reports to the Business Development and Marketing Manager

The position will be based primarily at the Acacia Ridge campus; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

* Apply project management techniques to set priorities and develop work plans, with an emphasis on delivering agreed outcomes on time and within budget.
* Lead the coordination, staging and promotion of special marketing events including but not limited to Open Days, Apprentice Awards, Webinars, and industry functions.
* Use basic analytics tools to report lead capture and outcomes of events and campaigns to contributing to a process of continuous improvement.
* Implement effective and informed marketing and business-to-business (B2B) strategies and campaigns to contribute to SkillsTech's engagement with employers as key clients.
* Develop and implement automation campaigns and engagement strategies for TAFE Queensland SkillsTech to encourage conversion to enrolment and retention of existing and potential clients, including managing mailing lists and support for students and employers as appropriate.
* Liaise and consult with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including directors, managers and teachers, and provide advice on marketing and communication activities of the business, and determine the best communication approach to meet the needs of the business.
* Develop content and produce a range of marketing collateral, including brochures, web content, social media and blog, advertising and other promotional materials that meet marketing requirements.
* Support the strategic marketing and communications direction of TAFE Queensland by contributing to the development of SkillsTech's Events and Industry Engagement plan and the development and maintenance of an events calendar to drive the customer engagement.
* Contribute as a proactive member of relevant statewide marketing networks, providing support and advice, ensuring cohesive alignment of regional collateral and content with statewide marketing objectives.
* Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self-development and contributing to the development of the team through knowledge sharing and the provision of support, guidance and collaboration.

How You Will Be Assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

* Demonstrated project management and organisational skills, including the ability to develop plans, gather information, set priorities and negotiate outcomes, schedule activities, and meet deadlines within a busy and demanding marketing environment.
* Highly developed marketing skills, including the ability to produce and edit marketing and campaign materials.
* Demonstrated ability to fit within a large and complex government owned, commercially focussed vocational education business with a strong culture of high performance, conduct and safety.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to establish networks, develop productive and collaborative relationships and operate effectively within a team.
* Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.

The following requirements, whilst not mandatory, would be regarded as advantageous in this role:

* Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
* A tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related discipline.
