The Role
We are ideally seeking a passionate, innovative, and student-centred Education Support Teacher to join our dedicated team. Experience and/or qualifications in Physical Education would be highly desirable.
The Education Support Teacher plays a vital role in providing high-quality educational programs and pastoral care for students with diagnosed disabilities and complex learning needs. We are ideally seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled applicant who displays a strong understanding of a broad range of disabilities and evidence-based practices that support student growth in literacy, numeracy, communication, independent living, and social-emotional development.
Experience, qualifications, or a displayed interest in Physical Education are highly desirable. The successful applicant may be required to deliver engaging and inclusive physical education programs that promote physical wellbeing, motor skill development, participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles for students with diverse abilities.
The successful applicant should be able to lead and work collaboratively with a team of Education Assistants to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. They will ideally actively engage with and contribute to the school community and work closely with families, therapists, and external agencies to develop coordinated approaches that enhance student outcomes.
The successful applicant should contribute positively to collaborative team planning processes, participate in ongoing professional learning, and display a commitment to continuous improvement. They should be skilled in planning, programming, assessing, and reporting within an integrated curriculum framework, ensuring learning experiences are tailored to meet the individual needs, abilities, and goals of each student.
