About The Role
Provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for Paediatric Palliative Care, overseeing nursing services, governance, workforce management, and innovation to deliver high-quality, holistic care for children with life-limiting illness across SA and the NT.
Key duties of the role
Provide strategic and operational leadership, clinical governance, and service direction for Paediatric Palliative Care.
Lead, manage, and support nursing staff, including line management of RN3 and RN4 roles.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, holistic, and individualised care for children with life-limiting illness across SA and the NT.
Coordinate innovation, research, safety, and quality improvement initiatives within the service and broader network.
Provide expert clinical leadership, assessment, education, and advice across interdisciplinary and community nursing teams.
Skills And Experience
State Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Registered Nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience.
Experience as a senior leader or manager in health care.
Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
Experience in managing staff from various multidisciplinary backgrounds
