Booth Transport is seeking an experienced Container Forklift Operator with Yard Control responsibilities to join our team on the afternoon shift.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport yard environment, is safety-focused, and has strong coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operate container forklifts to load, unload and relocate containers safely and efficiently
Move and position truck trailers as required using yard tugs
Coordinate truck arrivals and departures to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow
Conduct pre-start checks and follow all safety procedures
Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and operations teams
Maintain accurate yard records and ensure containers are correctly placed and tracked
Skills & Experience
Experience operating a container forklift (high-capacity)
Yard control or yard management experience highly regarded
Ability to move and position trailers confidently
Strong communication and situational-awareness skills
Commitment to safety and compliance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid forklift license (LF/LO)
MC or HC license desirable but not essential
