Role Description
This role offers the security of a permanent, full-time position to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer performing essential core day-to-day accounting functions.The Mangement Accountant will assist in the preparation of a variety of financial accounting activities including the administration of financial records and reports in a timely and efficient manner, the statutory reporting requirements and the management of the Company's cash flow. Experience in payroll, HR, export documentation and purchasing would be an advantage, however not essential.Being part of a small team, the opportunity to grow your skill set across these areas is available as well as the opportinity of advancement within the Mangement team.
Success in this role requires the ability to embrace concepts and accounting processes, together with excellent communication skills and a fluid approach to job requirements and getting along with a hard-working, close-knit team.
* The ability to use initiative and to prioritise the daily work load to achieve objectives within given timeframes;
* Experience with General Ledger, Taxation, Costing, Budgeting, Information Technology and Management Information systems;
* A high degree of computer literacy, with a sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in the use of Excel spread sheet disciplines;
* The ability to work unsupervised with a flexible approach to duties and relevant priorities;
* Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines;
* High degree of mathematical ability;
* Highly developed knowledge of administration procedures and a high degree of accuracy in administering all processes and procedures associated with the duties of the role.
This will be underpinned by a formal tertiary qualification in accounting along with full professional membership or advancing towards this, and/or significant demonstrated professional work experience in the requirements of the role.
