We have 2 permanent full-time positions commencing January ****
Workforce Supply, Mobility and Reform is responsible for promoting the Department of Education as the employer of choice to local, interstate and international teachers.
We represent the Department at expos, at universities, and deliver online events and webinars.
We also work with the Communications team to create and maintain the Department of Education career website, and promotional material related to the work we do.
This includes developing strategic initiatives to support the attraction and retention of teachers.
A number of key Workforce functions are currently managed within our team including:
The international and interstate recruitment of high quality teachers;
Promotion of the Department as an Employer of Choice with a diversity of careers in Education;
The Leap program to retrain teachers into specialised areas of need; and
The Teach in WA customer service centre, providing information to prospective and current Department teachers in many areas of inquiry, including employment eligibility requirements, recognition of prior service, and teacher qualification assessments.
The Role
The Senior Consultant – Workforce Supply plays a key role in supporting a range of programs and projects related to attracting and retaining high quality staff in the WA public education system.
We're looking for motivated and strategic Senior Consultants – Workforce Supply to join our team.
The role is all about engagement and delivery – whether it is managing programs or projects, interpreting data for briefings to inform decision making or finding creative solutions to workforce challenges.
We're looking for a Senior Consultant – Workforce Supply who is:
A strong communicator with highly developed written skills
Skilled at building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
Experienced in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused
Experience working within a large, complex organisation would be highly desirable.
