About the role
The Angliss Hospital, situated in Upper Ferntree Gully at the foothills of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, is currently seeking a suitably experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager in the operating theatre. The Unit consists of 3 operating theatres and forms part of the wider Eastern Health Surgical Program. Specialties include obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, ENT, endoscopy and paediatrics. We also have the exciting prospect of a new theatre complex comprising of 4 new operating theatres, PACU and day procedure unit with works currently planned for the start of next year.
The role of the ANUM in the operating theatre involves being part of a dynamic leadership team. It is a crucial role that has many facets with a combined role of clinical work and floor co-ordination. The staff at the Angliss operating theatres are a close knit and highly motivated team. They work cohesively within a multidisciplinary framework team to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for the patients in their care.
About you

4. Current experience as an ANUM/CNS within the perioperative environment
5. Post Graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or working towards is desirable.
6. Strong leaderships skills
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
8. Understanding of conflict resolution and negotiation skills
9. Proficient in computer literacy
10. Excellent Patient assessment skills
11. Strong commitment to high quality patient care
12. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and trouble shoot problems effectively
