Manteena is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, and profitable building projects. You will oversee all aspects of project execution financial management and client engagement to safety leadership and team development.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and our senior leadership, you'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your role includes driving project planning, managing contracts, mentoring staff, and promoting a collaborative and safety-focused culture across all sites.

What You'll Do:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of exceptional building projects across Australia. By championing Manteena's core values and commitment to Building Excellence. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects, on time, on budget and defect free.
Project Leadership: Take full ownership of complex building projects from initiation to completion. Lead multidisciplinary teams, drive strategic planning, and ensure alignment with client expectations, company values, and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of accountability and excellence across all phases of delivery.
Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets with precision, ensuring profitability and financial health. Oversee forecasting, cost reporting, and cash flow management. Administer contract variations in line with contractual obligations and proactively mitigate financial risks through diligent reporting and negotiation.
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Represent Manteena's values and commitment to quality in every client interaction.
Safety & Quality Leadership: Champion a proactive safety culture across all project sites. Ensure WHS compliance, lead risk management initiatives, and oversee the implementation of Integrated Management Plans. Drive quality assurance through inspections, buildability reviews, and defect-free handovers that protect Manteena's reputation.
Team Development & People Management: Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Conduct performance reviews, manage resource allocation, and address staffing needs. Promote professional growth and wellbeing, leading by example in professionalism and integrity.
Program & Contract Management: Lead the development, review, and execution of project programs. Ensure realistic scheduling, milestone tracking, and contingency planning. Manage head and subcontract agreements, identify contractual risks, and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions.
Business Growth & Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the preparation of tenders, EOIs, and strategic submissions. Leverage industry networks to identify new opportunities and support recruitment efforts. Drive continuous improvement and innovation, helping Manteena grow its footprint and reputation across all regions.
What You'll Bring:
Degree or Diploma in Building & Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
Australian Citizenship with the Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
5+ Years experience as a Project Manager Delivering High Value Commercial Projects
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in project management systems (e.g., Vista by Viewpoint)
