We are seeking an experienced and capable Workshop Manager to take charge of day-to-day coordination within our busy manufacturing workshop. This is a leadership role focused on managing people, schedules, resources, and equipment—ensuring everything is in place for safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
About the Role: You'll work closely with the Operations Manager, QA/QC team, and senior leadership to ensure the workshop runs smoothly and meets project targets. This includes managing production schedules, allocating resources, overseeing equipment servicing, and making sure staff qualifications are maintained.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and manage daily/ weekly workshop schedulesAllocate labour, materials, and plant for jobs based on priorities and capacityRun toolbox and production meetings with workshop teamsEnsure all workshop equipment (cranes, welders, forklifts, etc.) is maintained and compliantKeep training and qualification records up to date for all workshop staffMonitor hours used on jobs and report back to key stakeholdersCommunicate effectively between workshop and management teamsSupport a safe, compliant, and productive working environmentWhat We're Looking For: Experience in a supervisory or management role within a fabrication or engineering workshopStrong organisational and communication skillsPractical knowledge of production planning, workshop workflows, and equipment maintenanceAbility to lead teams and manage day-to-day priorities effectivelyComfortable with structured processes and reportingAvailable for immediate startWhy Work With Us?
